The name of this challenge is Alcohol Ink Ombre and I love playing with alcohol inks. I can't describe the step by step technique...but turn to page 57 in Tim's book to play along. I love yellow so my choice of alcohol inks was easy: Butterscotch, Sunshine, and Lemonade.
Once my background was complete, I wasn't sure where to go next. The colors reminded me of a sunrise, so...I grabbed Tim's Rays stencil and used my newly purchased Ranger texture paste to create the sun's rays as described in Tim's 2015 March Tag tutorial. I then covered the paste with gold embossing powder and let it completely dry prior to heat embossing. I stamped the birds with Jet Black Archival Ink. I used the words from a familiar Beatles song to round out this encouragement card that will find it way to a certain someone at just the right time.
