CC3C #19 Frayed Fabric

Running behind...so just a quick note about my entry to the Compendium of Curiosities #3 Challenge hosted by the lovely Linda Ledbetter and sponsored by the generous folks at Inspiration Emporium.
I was glad that Linda noted that a sewing machine did not have to be used because I don't own one.  I hand stitched my heart and frayed it according to Tim's instructions found on page 66 of the book by the same name.

That's all for now or I won't make the entry deadline...don't think I have ever run this close before.  Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by :)

    1. Thanks Hels...I remember taking Home Ec in high school and nobody was able to wear my sewing project...including me. I may have to buy a sewing machine after looking at all the beautiful pieces by the DT and challenge entries.

  2. Hi Kim. You did a wonderful job on your frayed fabric piece for our challenge at CC3C. I love that striped fabric! Your hand sewn heart is darling! I also love your frame and how you've distressed the corrugated board. The colors are awesome and perfect for your frayed heart. Thanks so much for sharing your art with us at CC3C. <3 Candy

  3. Hi, Kim. I'm late to comment but didn't want to miss the chance to tell you how lovely your creation is. "I hand stitched my heart and frayed it according to Tim's instructions...." I smiled a little, sounds like lyrics to a country & western song. The hand stitching is very cool, very organic. Beautiful coloration!!
